Labiana Health participates in the Medcap 2024 forum
The company’s top management shared with investors and analysts its strategic vision and growth prospects for the coming years.
As a pharmaceutical laboratory specializing in animal and human health listed on the stock exchange, Labiana Health participated in the twentieth edition of the Medcap Forum, a meeting organized by Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) on May 28, 29 and 30, which was attended by 150 investors, both national and international. This forum seeks to bring together investors with various listed companies to learn about their business model and prospects, with the aim of raising capital to help boost their growth.
Within the framework of Medcap 2024, the President and CEO of Labiana Health, Manuel Ramos Ortega, the General Manager of Labiana Health, Sandra Villagrasa and the Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, Cristina Ramos, had the opportunity to meet with several investors interested in the company, as well as to participate in a Discovery Meeting with investors and analysts where they presented the company’s general vision and business model, as well as the growth prospects for the coming years and the financial strategy to be carried out.
Among the highlights of Labiana Health’s presentation to investors was the roadmap set out to drive CDMO’s growth, both through existing customers and by attracting new ones, as well as the growth of the company’s own formulary, through a timeline with launches planned until 2029. Likewise, the progress in the commercialization of the molecule Fosfomycin trometamol, the specific antibiotic for urinary tract infections with a single dose and rapid absorption, which has a niche market with a worldwide reach and in which Labiana is a reference.
On the other hand, the executives have shown the attendees the possibilities that have opened up in its CDMO business after having received the certification to manufacture products for clinical trials (MEI or IMP) by the Spanish Medicines Agency. This certification allows the company to offer a complete turnkey service for the production and development of its own and third-party drugs or clinical batches.
Labiana Health has taken advantage of the Forum to reaffirm its commitment to innovation, quality and internationalization, which have enabled it to consolidate its position in the market and diversify its offer. In this sense, they have highlighted the new projects in the R&D area, both in animal and human health, which have been developed in recent months.
Manuel Ramos Ortega, President and CEO of Labiana Health, highlighted during the presentation that “we are closing our 2024-2029 business plan and we are confident that the management and operational improvement plan we have implemented, together with the financing agreement with Miralta Finance Bank and Blantyre Capital, and the growth prospects of the pharmaceutical and veterinary sector, will allow us to move forward in line with our business vision and objectives”.
For her part, Sandra Villagrasa, CEO of Labiana Health, stressed that “we are very satisfied with the synergies forged during the Medcap Forum, where we have been able to show the great growth opportunities ahead of us through innovation, geographical diversification and our expansion plans, and we would like to thank all the investors who have shown interest in the company and those with whom we were able to talk during the Medcap 2024 Forum”.

También en el ámbito de la salud humana, Labiana tiene 22 áreas terapéuticas en el negocio de CDMO, know-how en la producción de liofilizados y chicles y autorizaciones para psicotropos, Narcóticos y Hormomas esterilizadas. En el ámbito de la salud animal, cuenta con instalaciones para biológicos y capacidad I+D, 10 áreas terapéuticas diferentes, cepario propio y know how en la producción de antígenos bacterianos y víricos, además de una amplia e histórica experiencia en la producción de inyectables y hormonas. La compañía se estrenó en el BME Growth el pasado mes de junio, convirtiéndose así en la primera empresa veterinaria en salir al Mercado BME Growth en España.
